Free certificate of insurance checker
Upload a vendor's certificate of insurance and see what it actually says: each coverage, its limits, when it expires, and whether you're named as additional insured. Works with ACORD 25 forms and most carrier layouts.
What the checker reads
- The insured business, the agent who issued the certificate, and the certificate holder
- Each policy listed: general liability, auto, workers' comp, umbrella, and others
- Limits such as each occurrence, general aggregate, and combined single limit
- Policy effective and expiration dates, with a warning when a policy expires within 30 days or already has
- Whether the additional insured and waiver of subrogation boxes are marked
New to reading these? Our guide explains every box: how to read a certificate of insurance.
What it doesn't do
It reports what the certificate shows. It can't confirm a policy is still in force, and it doesn't tell you how much coverage to require. That's a question for your insurance broker or attorney. A certificate is evidence of insurance, not the policy itself.
