These terms govern your use of COI Relay, a service operated by Kerschner Enterprises LLC (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or starting a trial you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the business you represent.
What COI Relay does, and doesn't do
COI Relay stores certificates of insurance that you or your vendors upload, extracts information from them, compares that information with requirements you set, and sends reminder emails to the vendors you add.
- COI Relay is not an insurance company, broker, or law firm, and nothing in the service is insurance, legal, or risk-management advice. Decide what coverage to require with your own broker or attorney.
- A certificate of insurance is evidence of coverage, not a policy. COI Relay can't confirm that a policy is in force, and automated extraction can be wrong. You're responsible for reviewing flagged items and for decisions you make about vendors.
Trials, billing, and cancellation
- Paid plans start with a free trial. A payment card is required to start it.
- When the trial ends, your card is charged for the plan you chose, then again at the start of each monthly or yearly period until you cancel.
- You can change plans or cancel at any time from the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep access until then. We don't refund partial periods except where the law requires it.
- If a payment fails we'll retry it and email you. If it keeps failing, the subscription is canceled.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. Changes apply from your next period.
Your data and your vendors
- You own the documents and data you put into COI Relay. We use them only to provide the service.
- You confirm you have a business relationship with the vendors you add and that you're allowed to request certificates from them. Reminder emails are sent on your behalf and identify your business.
- After cancellation we keep your data for 90 days so you can come back or export it, then delete it.
Acceptable use
Don't use COI Relay to send email to anyone who isn't your vendor, to upload documents you aren't entitled to hold, or to interfere with the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including losses from a vendor's lack of insurance, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
